Program materials in communities inside and outside of incarceration facilities.
Stipends for low-income and formerly incarcerated facilitators.
Travel expenses for facilitators who travel outside of their local region to facilitate workshops.
Gifting Basic AVP manuals to incarcerated individuals who achieve facilitators status.
Gifting Advanced AVP manuals to incarcerated individuals who have facilitated for 1 year.
Travel scholarships to attend the annual AVP-USA National Gathering.
2 annual volunteer appreciation events.

Annual AVP-USA National Gathering
Every year, AVP facilitators gather to collaborate and share best practices, learnings and research generated by local groups and national and international committees.
Facilitators from around the country and the world came together in Purchase, NY for the 50th AVP-USA National Gathering over the 2025 Memorial Day weekend!
With a special video message from Bernard Lafayette, the civil rights leader and key founding member of AVP, a participant from the FIRST AVP workshop, and formerly incarcerated AVP facilitators making a difference in communities all over the country, it was a magical time of connection, discovery, and learning for the AVP Maryland and AVP DC delegations.
